MCN-backed European Supermoto comes to UK

1 of 1

The MCN-backed British Superprix is the first round of the European Supermoto championship to ever be held in the UK, and it takes place at Lydden Hill in Kent on October 18-19.

The circuit is building two, all-new off-road sections, and an expected 10,000 spectators will be there to see how established stars like Danny Muller and Fred Fiorentino (winner of last year’s Mettet Superbiker) cope. Guest stars will also tackle the challenging circuit, including triple TT winner John McGuinness and 2002 British Supersport champion Stuart Easton. One of the support races will be a special Press-Celebrity event on Yamaha WR450 Supermotos prepared by Clews Leisure Ltd.

” As Lydden Hill is set in a bowl, the atmosphere and view will be excellent from any vantage point, ” said organiser Tony Brock. ” With four championship races on Sunday, fans can watch each race from a different location, giving them a day packed with variety as well as adrenalin. ”

The track details are: Lydden Hill Circuit, Wotton, Canterbury, Kent, CT4 6RX.

Tickets: Saturday (Practice, Qualifying and Support races) £8. Sunday (European Championship and Yamaha Celebrity races) £10. A weekend saver ticket is £10. Accompanied children under 15 go free. Full details on www.superprix.net.
