Harris to superbikes

Honda has confirmed that 2004 British Supersport champion Karl Harris will move up to ride a Fireblade in the British superbike championship next year – but he wont run in the same team as Michael Rutter and Ryuichi Kiyonari.

Rutter and Kiyonari will continue in the HM Plant sponsored factory backed team but Harris will be the sole rider in a second HRC backed team running Dunlop tyres instead of the Michelins of the HM Plant team. The title sponsor of Harris’ team is still to be confirmed.

Harris has already raced the his 2005 bike at the Castle Combe non championship BSB race and was at the NEC last week to talk about his new ride. His already strongly competetive relationship with Rutter was apparent.
