Stars target Moto1 prize

Supermoto stars are on a mission to prove they have the all-round skills to win the multi-discipline Moto1 event at Donington Park on October 30-31.

Racers must contest supermoto, road racing, trials and motocross.

Reigning British Supermoto Champion David Tougher believes: Moto1 is a real tester for riders, a proving ground to discover Britain’s best all-rounder.”

Ulsterman Tougher adds: “I¹m confident in the Supermoto and Motocross elements but haven’t much experience in the Road Racing segment that may well determine the eventual overall winner.”

Last year’s British Supermoto Champion Leighton Haigh will compete, as will 2001 champ Ady Smith and female motocrosser and supermoto racer Anita Doran.

The Moto1 action runs from 9am to 4.30pm each day.
