Fight offroad restrictions

1 of 1

The Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA) is urging off-roaders and supporters to write to their Labour candidate to overturn the recent anti-motor-sport legislation.

The Department for the Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs (DEFRA)’s recently changed the subsidy scheme for farmers so that effectively they will non longer be eligible for thousands in cash handouts if they allow motocross and trials events on their land – even if it’s for only one day in the year.

They want you to write to persuade your Labour candidate that they should raise the matter with the party leadership.

There are three steps to the process:

Click here to find out what constituency you live in

Click here to find out if it is a marginal seat

Then click here to download a pre-written letter that you can send you MP.

The campaign is aimed at putting pressure on candidates in marginal seats, but even if you do not live in a marginal constituency send the letter anyway. It won’t hurt to let your MP know how you feel.
