Nunn wins Hawkstone MX

Britain’s Carl Nunn won the MX2 class at the pre-season motocross meeting at Hawkstone Park on March 6, 2006.

The reigning British champion won the first Moto from Tommy Searle and Billy Mackenzie by a comfortable two minutes and two laps. He took a steady second place in the second Moto to take the overall win.

In MX1, Stefan Everts took both Moto wins to take the overall result, from Kevin Strijbos and Ken de Dycker in the first race, and Strijbos and Steve Ramon in the second.

The final race of the day was a ‘Grand Final’, combining the best riders in both MX1 and MX2. Kevin Strijbos took the MX1 category, with Billy Mackenzie top in MX2.
