SMT Honda has found their third replacement rider of the year to ride for them at Mallory Park this weekend, Sean Emmett.

The 38-year-old has landed his second British Superbike ride of the season after replacing Steve Plater in the absent AIM Yamaha spot at Thruxton.

And now the man who’s sitting in fourth in the Henderson R1 Cup championship has landed another Superbike spot.

SMT Honda Team Owner Robin Croft said: “We’ve done a deal with Sean to ride for us at Mallory Park.

“He’s been around a while and has a lot of experience so it should be a good weekend for us.”

SMT’s full-time rider, Adam Jenkinson, has been out of action since Thruxton in April after a huge off broke both his wrists.

But Jenkinson is expected to be back for the round following Mallory, at Oulton Park on July 20.
