Croft British Superbikes: James Ellison hoping for home support

James Ellison hopes his superb display at Donington Park last weekend will encourage Kendall fans to come cheer him on at Croft this weekend.

Ellison finished the second race at Donington Park in fourth position in his wildcard appearance.

And now with his confidence sky high hopes the results will keep flooding in this weekend and his home fans will make the short trip to support him.

“I like Croft, although the track is a bit bumpy so it’s always a compromise with the suspension settings, the bike will be OK in some areas but not in others, but I suppose it’s the same for everyone,” said Ellison.

“It’s my local track, so the ‘Kendal masses’ will be coming to support me and the results at Donington WSB have really boosted my confidence, so I’m up for it!”

Not only is it the local race weekend for 27-year old Ellison, it’s also the home circuit of the Hydrex Bike Animal Honda Team.

With so many guests due to appear and James missing out on scoring points at the last BSB round with an injured wrist, team boss Shaun Muir says it’s vitally important the team finds some BSB form.

He said: “The World Superbike meeting was a nice bonus but it’s in BSB that our main business is and after James missed out at Cadwell, I’m looking for him to bounce back and give us a result at Croft as we have lots of guests going.

“There’s no reason why Guy and Kieran can’t be well inside the top ten also so I need them all to put in a good performance all round this weekend.”
