Knockhill BSB: Sight seeing for Lowry

1 of 1

Relentless Suzuki’s Ian Lowry described his first session at Knockhill as a spot of “sight-seeing,” since he had to find he way found on a Superbike for the first time.

The Superbike rookie is gradually finding his way in the top flight class with his best result to date last time out at Snetterton. He finished in a creditable fifth place in race one and is aiming to step on the podium very soon.

Completing first free practice at Knockhill in eighth place was a good solid start to his weekend and he hopes to build on that.

Lowry said: “That was a pretty good session as it is my first time here on a Superbike. Usually it takes a couple of laps to get into it but it took me about 15 to 20 to find my way round and where I should be on the track. I settled in towards the end and it was good. We’ve made a few changes to the suspension so I feel more confident. The first half of the session I was just sight seeing!”
