Mason and not Linfoot at Tyco Honda?

Dan Linfoot has still not signed the contract to secure the second Tyco Honda alongside Tommy Bridewell on the ex-HM Plant 2010 title-winning bikes in BSB next year.

From what was virtually a done deal at the penultimate round of the 2010 BSB series at Silverstone when the team was announced, Linfoot could actually end up losing out if the deal is not concluded in the next few days.

Team owner Ian Woollacott told MCN: “Dan has a timescale in which he has to sign the contract. Essentially he’s been stalling and it seems that he’s struggling to raise the funds he needs to bring to the team.”

If Linfoot does fail to secure the ride, it could open the way for Gary Mason to rejoin the team he rode for in 2009 – and won the BSB Privateer Cup.

Woollacott revealed: “I’ll make no secret that I’ve had talks with Gary and I’m going to have to make a decision on the line-up in the next week.
