British Superbikes makes early visit to Oulton Park

The MCE British Superbike championship will make an early visit to Oulton Park ahead of next weekend’s third round of the series, with an official test scheduled for this Friday at the Cheshire circuit.

The one-day test will see most of the series’ top teams in attendance, with the PBM Kawasakis of Shane Byrne, Stuart Easton and Ian Hutchinson joining the Milwaukee Yamahas of Josh Brookes and Broc Parkes and double race winner last time out James Ellison for the event.

Speaking after Brands Hatch, Shakey commented on the importance of the test after losing out on his pre-season plans to injury.

“I was reasonably happy with two second places, at Brands – I hate losing, but I appreciate I can’t win them all. We still need to work harder and push for more. For myself and the team second is never enough. I am hoping we can build some more momentum at the test ready for the next round”
