Linfoot ready to bring the aggression at Brands

Honda Racing rider Dan Linfoot says he’s ready to bring the aggression for this weekend’s MCE British Superbike round at Brands Hatch.

With only a 45 second lap, the Yorkshireman is aware of how crucial a good start is going to be for him if he’s to repeat his impressive Donington Park form, where he took second place after a twenty lap battle with Shane Byrne.

“We are approaching Brands with the same principle though of working hard from the start and keep building up to the races. I need to be aggressive at the start of the race, especially because it is the Indy circuit, but I think that track suits the agility and chassis of the Fireblade so I am really looking forward to it.”

“Donington was a fantastic start for us. I didn’t expect what we did in race two at the first event of the season. We had a steady start to practice and we just wanted to improve the balance of the bike and every session, even in race one, we kept chipping away to move forward.

“My aim before that weekend was to score two consistent top five finishes, so to get that second place made me really happy. It was important for me to have my confidence high after that weekend so we can carry the momentum into Brands Hatch.”
