Dominant Byrne doubles up at Snetterton

PBM Kawasaki rider Shane Byrne has doubled up at Snetterton, taking his second MCE British Superbike race win of the day to secure his title lead over runner-up Josh Brookes.

Byrne was once again able to make a break at the front, clear of Honda’s Jason O’Halloran, continuing his best ever day in BSB. Brookes suffered early in the race, struggling with a software problem on the Milwaukee Yamaha, but was able to find his pace later in the race and clear past his fellow Aussie for second.

Michael Laverty was a strong fourth, as he starts to find his promised form on the Tyco BMW, ahead of teammate Tommy Bridewell and the second of the PBM bikes of Stuart Easton.
