Biaggi dominates Sepang day two

1 of 1

Max Biaggi continued his domination of preseason testing at Sepang in Malaysia by improving on his first day best by half-a-second.

Biaggi had the benefit of using a 17 inch front wheel, compared to the 16.5 used by his Honda team-mates, Sete Gibernau, Makoto Tamada and Colin Edwards. All the top four are still using the 2003-spec Honda RC211Vs, with only test rider Tohru Ukawa riding the 2004 machine.

Shinya Nakano improved significantly on the Kawasaki, knocking two seconds from his previous best. The Suzuki team continued working on the GSV-R with Kenny Roberts and John Hopkins, but did not release any times.

The first members of the Yamaha team arrived in Malaysia today to prepare for the debut of Valentino Rossi on the Yamaha M1. We’ll bring you news over the weekend on how the reigning world champion finds the switch from Honda and video of the tests next week.
