Sold: Rossi's race bike

A Cagiva Mito 125 raced by a certain Valentino Rossi has been auctioned for charity, with a winning bid of 22660 Euros (£15,413).

The bike, which he used to win the Italian 125 production championship was offered by Rossi’s former team, Team Lusuardi, on an Italian auction site. All the money raised will go to a local charity to raise money to buy equipment for a children’s hospital.

The bike comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Rossi himself.
