Gibernau on Brno pole

Sete Gibernau has taken pole position for the Czech GP at brno tomorrow, Sunday, August 28, 2005, in a qualifying session which saw Valentino Rossi only capable of fourth on the grid.

Gibernau recorded his fastest time on his 21st lap of the session, with 1:57.504 putting him first on the grid, ahead of the factory Repsol Honda of Nicky Hayden with 1:57.551. Finishing the front row is Loris Capirossi on the Ducati Desmosedici. The Italian had headed the first two practice sessions at the circuit, and will now start from third.

Valentino Rossi has finished qualifying session in fourth place. Top Brit is James Ellison in 18th, who outqualified Roberto Rolfo, Ruben Xaus and Franco Battaini. Jeremy McWilliams is in 22nd.
