Rossi takes amazing win

Valentino Rossi has taken a magnificent victory at the Sepang GP after an epic battle with Loris Capirossi.

The Ducati and Yamaha riders were the only two in contention for the win after pulling out a significant lead over third placed man Dani Pedrosa.

Both Rossi and Capirossi were equally matched and continued to trade places throughout the second half of the race.

Right up to the last lap they were swapping places but Rossi was the one who held out with Capirossi going so wide on his last attempt to pass that he had no way to come back.

But Dani Pedrosa was definitely the man of the race. The Honda rider crashed on Friday and tore a hole in his knee, throwing doubt on whether he would race. Every time he bent his leg to get on the bike it split the wound again.

Even his own team were predicting that he wouldn’t finish, but through incredible effort he pushed his Honda to third place on the podium.

He was in so much pain by the end of the race he could hardly stand and had to use a box to get on and off his bike.
