Brno MotoGP: Marco Simoncelli on pole for 250GP

250GP championship leader Marco Simoncelli has taken his second pole position in a row at Brno with a fastest lap of 2.17.306

Hector Barbera looked as if he was to stay at the top of the pile from yesterdays rain-hit session, but Simoncelli and Lotus Aprilia rider Alex Debon. Polaris World Aprilia rider Mattia Pasini rounded out the front row of the grid with the fourth fastest time.

Championship challenger Mika Kallio qualified seventh behind Thomas Luthi and Julian Simon. Home rider Lukas Pesek qualified in ninth.

Irish rider Eugene Laverty qualified twelth on the Blusens Aprilia. Former 250GP world champion Manuel Poggiali failed to qualify.
