Brno MotoGP: Valentino Rossi wishes Casey Stoner a quick recovery

Reigning MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi has said he hopes to renew his epic battles with Aussie rival Casey Stoner soon, the Ducati rider sidelined for at least three races by a mystery illness.
Stoner’s absence has been the talking point of the Czech Republic GP today, with the 2007 world champion unable to ride in Brno as he continues to undergo medical assessments in Australia.
Stoner, who will also miss the Indianapolis and Misano races, is not expected back in action until the Estoril race in early October at the earliest.
And Fiat Yamaha rider Rossi, who fought some memorable battles with the 23-year-old since 2007, said: “It is very bad for the championship to lose Casey. For sure he is one of the greatest riders and one of the guys that fights for the championship. It is a great pity because it is great to have Casey on the track and being able to fight with him, so I hope he can come back soon.”
