Maxtra 125GP signing Matt Hoyle has been put through his paces for a tough physical assessment by leading MotoGP sports therapist Dean Miller.

Miller, who has worked with the likes of Wayne Rainey and Kenny Roberts and now works closely with Chris Vermeulen and John Hopkins as well as a host of riders in the paddock, tested Hoyle’s fitness in London.

After his assessment of Hoyle, Miller said he was impressed with his fitness as the 17-year-old begins serious preparations for his rookie world 125GP championship campaign.

Miller said: “Matt is a very fit young guy but we found some areas that we can work on which will show definite improvements.”

Hoyle signed for the Maxtra team last weekend having impressed during a spell in the Red Bull Rookies Cup.

He will partner Austrian Michael Ranseder in the Chinese-backed team that is being spearheaded by British motorsport legend John Surtees.
