Niccolo Canepa signs for Scot Racing in Moto2

Italian rider Niccolo Canepa will race in the new Moto2 class in 2010 with the Scot Racing team after a deal was signed today.

Scot Racing won the last ever 250cc championship this year with Hiroshi Aoyama aboard the Honda two-stroke.

Canepa, who last year raced in MotoGP with Pramac Ducati, said: “I’m absolutely pleased with the agreement we signed.

“And I’m really happy about the possibility to play a creative role in a working group that has been able to show high potential and capable of great results – this season and in the past.

“A new class, a new bike: it will be a tough job, but with rewarding perspectives. The target is to do well”.
