Toni Elias heads Tech 3 Moto2 wish list

MotoGP winner Toni Elias tops a Tech 3 wish list for the French team’s new Moto2 600cc world championship project.
The Spaniard has lost his MotoGP ride after being axed by the Gresini Honda squad, and reluctant to make a World Superbike switch, he is now pondering a series of Moto2 options.
Given his pedigree, Elias is hot property in Moto2 and Tech 3 boss Herve Poncharal has held several discussions with the 2006 Estoril MotoGP winner.
Fausto Gresini is also keen to offer him a seat on board the Moriwaki Moto2 bike he will run in 2010.
Poncharal told MCN: “Toni is somebody we have a big interest in. Ideally we’d like one experienced rider who could immediately be fighting at the front and helping the development of the bike, and another young rider who we can help and develop for the future.”
Poncharal has also talked to Alex de Angelis, Mattia Pasini, Shuhei Aoyama and Jules Cluzel.
