Nicky Hayden hails Jorge Lorenzo’s form

American Nicky Hayden reckons it is almost impossible to find a weakness in current MotoGP world championship leader Jorge Lorenzo.

The Spaniard has obliterated the field in 2010 with six wins in the opening nine races, including another dominant display at Laguna Seca last weekend.

And factory Ducati rider Hayden is the latest to hail the performances of the 23-year-old, who heads into the summer break with a commanding 72-point lead over closest rival Dani Pedrosa.

Lorenzo has not finished outside of the top two in the opening half of the 2010 campaign and Kentucky rider Hayden said: “The thing he’s proven this year is that he’s really solid.

“Last year he had the speed, but we’d see a few mistakes here or there at the track. This year, he’s qualified first or second or finished first or second in every race this year. So he’s really showed no weaknesses.”
