Assen MotoGP: Andrea Iannone takes Moto2 pole

Speed Up team rider Andrea Iannone continued his dominance at Assen today by claiming pole position during qualifying today.

Second on the grid is Ratthapark Wilairot, who waited till his 16th and final lap to take second spot on the grid for tomorrow’s race.

Alex Debon qualified third, although whether he will race tomorrow is in doubt, after he crashed after setting his fastest time, resulting in a suspected fractured right collar bone.

Brit Scott Redding was unable to continue the form that took him to a fourth place finish at Silverstone, qualifying half way down the grid in 20th.
