Toni Elias confident of MotoGP return

Moto2 world title favourite Toni Elias is confident he will be back in MotoGP next season.
Elias, who has won six races in Moto2 this season, is desperate for a return to MotoGP just one season after he was bombed out of the premier class.

Elias lost his Gresini Honda ride in 2009 but has been in talks with Suzuki, Tech 3 Yamaha and Fausto Gresini about a rapid return.

He also spoke to the Interwetten Honda outfit during last weekend’s inaugural Motorland Aragon clash in Spain.

The Spaniard told MCN: “I am confident I will be back in MotoGP. I think my championship in Moto2 has been very good. I’m in a good situation and my results last year in MotoGP were not so bad and I hope next year to be back.”

Elias is so desperate to be back in MotoGP next year that its rumoured he has offered to ride for free, taking a salary from leathers and helmets deals only.
