Suter rider Thomas Luthi has won the Sepang Moto2 race after taking the lead shortly before the race was red flagged.

The race was red flagged due to a crash from Alex Pons. Nine other riders did not finish the race, including Claudio Corti and Simone Corsi.

Championship leader Stefan Bradl led for the majorty of the race but was unable to hold off Luthi on the brakes in to the final corner. HP rider Pol Espagaro finished third.
