Power cut disrupts Motorland Aragon practice

1 of 1

A major power outage at the Motorland Aragon track this afternoon forced the cancellation of the second MotoGP and Moto2 practice sessions.

The second MotoGP session was just about to start when a power cut hit the circuit, forcing organisers to delay the start of the 45-minute session.

The session was due to start at 4.20pm local time – two hours and 10 minutes late – when power was restored. But the electricty was only back on for a brief period and when the power cut off again, MotoGP management decided to scrap the MotoGP and Moto2 sessions.

The time lost will be made up with extended sessions tomorrow morning (Saturday).
