Pol and Cal through to Q2

Pol Espargaro and Cal Crutchlow made it through to Q2 after setting the fastest times in a hugely competitive Q1 session. With the duo joined by Danilo Petrucci, Scott Redding and Aleix Espargaro it was as competitive an opening qualifying shootout as we’ve seen all year.

Stefan Bradl had another promising outing on the Aprilia and outqualified Alvaro Bautista. In the fight for fastest Open Honda Eugene Laverty came out ahead of Nicky Hayden, Jack Miller and a recoverying Karel Abraham.
