Vazquez quickest in opening practice

Efren Vazquez set the pace in morning warmup with championship leader Danny Kent second fastest with Romano Fenati third. It was a very encouraging start to the weekend for Vazquez and Fenati with both in need of a strong result this weekend.

The top five was seperated by less than three tenths of a second with Enea Bastianini sixth fastest but six tenths of a second off the pace.

John McPhee crashed midway through the session and finished 23rd fastest just behind Indy winner Livio Loi.
