Dovi fastest with three Ducatis in the top five!

Having tested at Mugello three weeks ago Andrea Dovizioso was able to get up to speed quickly at the Italian circuit with the Ducati rider topping the times ahead of Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Iannone.

Iannone, who admitted in the run up to this weekend that he fractured his funny bone, was impressive once again and saved a huge moment in the early stages of the session before setting his fastest time. Yonny Hernandez was an impressive fifth fastest for Pramac Ducati with the Columbian taking advantage of a tow from Valentino Rossi who finished sixth fastest.

Scott Redding was the leading Brit and the Marc VDS rider looked much more comfortable on the bike this morning compared to recent races with the Brit sliding the rear on corner entry and looking much more aggressive on the bike.
