Petrucci and Espargaro through from QP2

Danilo Petrucci and Aleix Espargaro made it through to QP2 at the French Grand Prix after setting the pace in the first qualifying session at Le Mans. A rain shower during the Moto3 qualifying session meant that riders had to pick a line through damp patches during the 15 minute session.

With the track conditions improving the times got faster and faster but ultimately Petrucci and Espargaro were able to keep Maverick Vinales and Nicky Hayden at bay. Scott Redding will line up 15th on the grid after a late crash at turn two robbed him of any chance of setting a fast time at the end of the session. Eugene Laverty also crashed on used tyres and the Irishman will line-up 21st on the grid.
