MotoGP agrees to Indonesia return for 2017

The future of MotoGP in the Far-East has taken another turn with Dorna confirming that there is a space on the 2017 calendar reserved for Indonesia if improvements and renovation can be made at the Sentul Circuit near Jakarta.

Carmelo Ezpeleta visited the Indionesian capital this week en route to Malaysia and made and agreement with the local authorities for the huge market of Indonesia to join the MotoGP circus.

Yamaha has made a pointed effort to target Indonesia throughout the last six years with Jorge Lorenzo a regular visitor for Yamaha promotional activities.

Ezpeleta met with Imam Nahrawi, the Indonesian Minister of Youth & Sports and Tinton Soeprapto, CEO of the Sentul International Circuit during the course of his visit.
