Repsol Honda have unveiled their 2016 livery ahead of this week’s second test of the 2016 MotoGP pre-season, pulling the covers off the now-familiar design in front of huge crowds in Indonesia.

A key market for the Japanese manufacturer, Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa travelled to the South East Asian country for the second year in a row to launch the bike at the Sentul circuit, which is set to gain a MotoGP race from 2017.

And, with such a positive response from the fans, double world champion marc Marquez says it’s easy to justify making the trip to Indonesia for the event.

“It never ceases to amaze me how much people unconditionally love and support MotoGP here in Indonesia, so it has been an honour for us to officially unveil our RC213V at the Sentul Circuit today and to meet so many fans on the occasion.”

The team have now continued south to Australia, as they complete a key pre-season test at Phillip Island. On the back foot with the introduction of the new 2016 machine, Marquez says they need to continue the work started two weeks ago at Sepang.

“We made a few steps in the right direction over the three days at Sepang but we need to make some more at Phillip Island. I’m confident the HRC engineers and my team will come up with more improvements as we get used to the new software.”
