British Motostar Champion Charlie Nesbitt will join the Red Bull Rookies field in 2017 after impressing at this week’s selection event at Guadix.

Competing against 116 other riders from 32 different countries, Nesbitt was one of just 11 riders selected to join the second and third year riders in the 2017 Red Bull Rookies Cup. He’ll join fellow Brit and current rookies’ contender Rory Skinner, who will be entering his third year in the series.

Nesbitt took the British Motostar championship by storm this year, taking a whopping 16 victories from 22 races to win the title by 112 points, and now he’ll get the chance to race in the same paddock as Grand Prix heroes Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez.
