Rossi concurs with Pedrosa switch rumours

Valentino Rossi has concurred with MCN’s story that he could be joined by Dani Pedrosa next season at the Movistar Yamaha team, after admitting today that he believes that the Spaniard could well be his teammate for the future.

Speaking in today’s press conference for the French round of MotoGP, the nine-time world champion admitted that while he’s officially in the dark on who his teammate will be, he’s also heard rumours about Pedrosa – and believes that Pedrosa and Maverick Viñales are the likely candidates.

“I know what you know – or maybe less! But in the last days, there have been a lot of rumours about Pedrosa. For the second rider, Movistar wants a Spanish rider, and I think that Viñales or Pedrosa are the most likely.

“I don’t know the percent chance of one or the other, but for me it’s the same. They’re two very different riders. Pedrosa is fast and strong, and has already demonstrated his potential, even if he is a little bit older. Viñales has shown a great talent, but doesn’t have a lot of experience, even if he is a lot younger. But for me it doesn’t make much difference, because I have a great relationship with both of them.”
