Anstey to race RC213V-S MotoGP replica at 2016 TT!

Bruce Anstey will swap his Honda Fireblade for an RC213V-S MotoGP replica at this year’s Isle of Man TT.

MCN can sensationally reveal the ‘Flying Kiwi’ will take to the iconic 37.73 mile mountain course on a specially prepared version of the £138,000 Grand Prix replica in this year’s Superbike and Senior races with the Valvoline by Padgetts Racing team.

Legendary team-boss Clive Padgett has been secretly preparing the bike over the past few months and only told Anstey of the plan a couple of weeks ago.

The 10-time TT winner will test the RCV, complete with a number of custom-made parts especially made to suit the bike to the TT course, alongside his CBR1000RR Superbike during practice week and if all goes well he will set off for Bray Hill in Saturday’s Superbike race on the exotic GP rep.

“Clive had hinted about racing an RCV at the end of last year,” Anstey told MCN. “The next thing I knew he had one and was telling me we were going to race it. It should be an absolute weapon as it has about 220bhp and is lighter than a 600!
