Racing resumes at the 2017 Vauxhall International North West today with an action-packed six race schedule set to get underway from around 10.15.
The 8.9 mile circuit is a little damp after overnight rainfall, but conditions are forecast to improve with five races on the schedule throughout the day. Roads close at 09.15 and don’t have to re-open until 19.00, with the option to extend until 21.00.
Michael Rutter will start on pole position for the day’s two Superbike races, with the first encounter set to get underway second on the schedule and the second the penultimate race of the day.
Twice race victor Martin Jessopp will be gunning for victory once again in the Supersport and Supertwins race.
Alastair Seeley, who won the opening Superstock race, will be looking to further increase his win record around the Triangle circuit, which now stands at 18.
Honda Racing won’t be in action in the Superbike or Superstock races after McGuinness’ qualifying fall, but Guy Martin will be out in the Supersport race for Wilson Craig Honda.
