Rumours put Edwards on RCV

1 of 1

Following his stunning performance at the weekend, which saw him wrap up the 2002 WSB title for Honda, paddock rumours now have Colin Edwards back on an RCV in MotoGP for 2003.

While the Texan Tornado has signed a letter of intent to ride a 999 for Ducati in Worls Superbikes for 2003, his superhuman efforts may well have caused a change of heart by the Japanese factory bosses. And, conjecture has it, earned him a berth alongside Max Biaggi at the Pramac Honda garage.

Another interesting twist to this story concerns GSE Racing. Again it’s rumour, but a strong one, that Darrell Healey’s squad may take up the reins of the Honda challenge, running SP-2s in 2003.

Quite where this would leave its new signing Chris Walker, with his background of trained relations with Honda after his abortive 500cc GP ride with Shell Advance Honda in 2001, is anybody’s guess…

Colin Edwards talks to Andy Downes about his dramatic title win in the latest issue of MCN, out Wednesday October 2.
