Foggy drops Haydon

1 of 1

James Haydon will not be riding the FP1 in World Superbikes next year after the Foggy Petronas team decided not to renew his contract for 2004.

The decision comes after Haydon’s disappointing performances this season. He has struggled to get to grips with the new triple, finishing in the points only three times in 18 races.

Team owner Carl Fogarty: ” I signed James because of his aggressive style and determined nature but, for whatever reason, this has not suited our bike. While Troy raves about the handling of the FP1, James has clearly struggled to find a set-up that works for him. ”

Haydon will continue to ride with the team until the end of the season but the search is now on for a replacement for the 28-year-old rider to work alongside Corser, who still has another year left to run on his contract.
