Corser on Valencia pole

Troy Corser has continued his domination of the Valencia superbike weekend by taking the fastest superpole lap and pole position for Sunday’s race.

Corser topped all the free practice and qualifying sessions then went on to set a storming time of 1:35.676, almost half a second ahead of second placed man Chris Vermeulen.

Ducati rider Regis Laconi managed to take third place on the factory 999 with Max Neukirchner finishing the front row of the grid on the Klaffi Honda.

Andrew Pitt starts the second row on the a Yamaha R1 followed by Vermeulen’s teammate Karl Muggeridge, Brit Chris Walker on the PSG-1 Kawasaki and Yamaha France rider Norick Abe.

US star Ben Bostrom managed to pick himself up from the bottom of the field, just scraping in to the Superpole in 16th place.
