Fri am: Corser fastest

1 of 1

Rain hit the second qualifying session for the first round of the World Superbike Championship in Qatar on Friday morning – leaving Troy Corser sitting on provisional pole. Superpole takes place on Friday afternoon at 1pm. Check this site then for live updates.

Friday morning’s wet track saw riders lapping upwards of 25 seconds off Corser’s provisional pole-setting pace from Thursday’s dry session. Most riders only completed a few laps.

The top 16 riders from now go forward to the Superpole session, in which they complete one flying lap each to determine final positions on the grid.

Check back here at 1pm on Friday for live updates from Superpole and read the updates below for a blow-by-blow account of Friday morning’s wet session.
