Laconi tops WSB practice

Ducati has dominated the first practice session for the Misano round of the world sueprbike championship with Regis Laconi setting the fastest lap, just ahead of team-mate James Toseland.

Laconi set a best lap of 1:37.029 early on in the session and kept the top spot ridght to the end. Toseland followed him home just 0.49 seconds behind.

Honda rider and championship rookie Max Neukirchner took the third fastest time with championship leader Troy Corser relegated to fourth on his Suzuki.

Brit Chris Walker held on to fifth place on his Kawaskai followed by Chris Vermeulen, Giovani Bussei and Yukio Kagayama.
