Bayliss fastest in WSB

Troy Bayliss has topped the latest World Superbike test in Valencia, finishing almost a second ahead of second placed man James Toseland.

Bayliss, who replaced Toseland on the factory Ducati, finished the day just 0.234 seconds off the circuit’s best qualifying lap.

Toseland’s team-mate Karl Muggeridge took the third fastest time followed by the second Xerox Ducati of Lorenzo Lanzi.

Norick Abe took his Yamaha to the fifth fastest time despite being limited to using 2005 spec Pirelli tyres.

Meanwhile four other WSB riders have been testing separately in Qatar with Noriyuki Haga taking the fastest lap followed Andrew Pitt, Frankie Chili and Michelle Fabrizio.
