British WSB star Craig Jones has been burgled with thieves raiding his home just weeks before the start of the World Superbike season.

The Petronas rider was asleep at home when thieves broke into his home on the outskirts of Petebrorough and made of with around £15,000 of belongings. Despite the burglars being in the house for at least 30 minutes, Jones didn’t discover the thefts until the next day.

Items taken included his TV, DVD player, iPod, Playstation, made-to-measure race leathers from 2005, motocross kit, and four helmets. One of the stolen helmets was badly damaged following a crash while the other is a one-off designed to look like a Star Wars Stormtrooper which Jones wore for the Silverstone round of World Supersports.

If you have any information or you are offered any of the helmets or kit for sale, contact Thorpe Wood police station on 01733-563232.
