Muggeridge on the move

1 of 1

Karl Muggeridge is set to continue racing for Honda in WSB next season after signing to ride for the Alto Evolution Bertocchi squad.

Muggeridge has spent the last two years onboard the Ten Kate Honda CBR1000RR after partnering Chris Vermeulen in 2005 and James Toseland in 2006.

Despite showing genuine pace the 30 year old Aussie was unable to match the pace of his teammates and was dropped by the team at the end of the season in favour of Italian Roberto Rolfo.

Muggeridge will bring his Honda experience and support to the new look Bertocchi team, who have previously run Kawasaki’s in WSB for over a decade. In an all Australian team, Muggeridge will partner former Aussie Superbike and Supersport Champion, Josh Brookes.

Brookes has already impressed in testing onboard a CBR1000RR after the team bought Alex Barros’s Klaffi Honda’s at the final round of the WSB Championship at Magny Cours. The Alto Evolution Bertocchi squad plan to build four new 2007 Honda’s, with Muggeridge expected to get his first test in the coming weeks.
