Disaster for Supersport frontrunners

Three of the top World Supersport men have been ruled out of action today after crashing in the opening wet Free Practice session.

Factory Yamaha men Kevin Curtain and Broc Parkes have both been declared un-fit for the rest of the weekend after breaking their collarbones.

2006 runner-up Kevin Curtain could only manage two laps before crashing out at the final turn, Goddards, whilst Parkes crashed at exactly the same place with just 10 laps completed.

Ten Kate Honda rider and double World Champion, Sebastian Charpentier has also ruled himself out of the first day’s action after a heavy fall left him with stretched ligaments in his Pelvis and damage to his plated collarbone he broke at the end of last season.

All three riders were taken to and treated in the Clinica mobile.

Whilst Curtain and Parkes have been ruled out for the rest of the weekend, Charpentier has also now been ruled out of the rest of the weekend with the troublesome pelvis, but should be able to ride in the next round.
