Phillip Island WSB: Bayliss on way to Italy with fractured collarbone and sternum

Troy Bayliss is currently on his way back to Italy following his day three crash at Phillip Island that saw him break his right collarbone. It has also emerged that the Australian has fractured the end of his sternum bone.

An MRI scan at Melbourne hospital revealing that he has a number of small fractures in both the sternum and right collarbone.

Bayliss will be examined by Ducati’s own doctor when he arrives in Europe, but is expected to make a full recovery in time for the opening round of the championship at Qatar in February although he may have to forgo any further pre season testing.
