Noriyuki Haga pinned, plated and ready for Nurburgring

Noriyuki Haga has undergone a successful operation to repair his badly broken collarbone sustained in at Miller Motorsports Park last weekend and remains confident he will be fit to race in Germany next weekend.
 
Noriyuki Haga broke his right collarbone into three pieces after tangling with Hannspree Ten Kate Honda rider Kenan Sofuoglu during final qualifying.

The 33 year old Yamaha Italia rider returned to the track just hours later to compete in Superpole before securing an impressive sixth place finish in race two the following day.
 
On Monday, Haga flew to San Jose in California where he underwent a successful operation by renowned Orthopaedic surgeon Dr Arthur Ting.

The Japanese rider was fitted with a plate and eight screws and is now back in Italy recuperating in preparation for next weekends round seven of the championship at the Nurburgring in Germany.
 
Haga currently sits fifth in the championship standings, 72 points behind Xerox Ducati rider Troy Bayliss.
