Donington World Superbikes: Troy Bayliss on pole

Current championship leader Troy Bayliss will be on pole for tomorrows WSB races at Donington Park after a wet superpole qualifying session.

The riders took out to the wet track, and as opposed to the usual superpole, each rider could compete 12 laps over a 50 minute session.

The tricky conditions saw several riders fall, including Jacob Smrz, Cal Crutchlow and Tom Sykes. Troy Corser crashed midway through the session and then crashed for a second time exiting Goddards when he was set to take pole position. Corser also crashed twice yesterday.
