Rea focussed on more race wins

Following his stunning Nurburgring race two win, Jonathan Rea has vowed to fight for victory in the final three rounds of the championship. Rea currently sits fourth in the title standings 45 points behind factory Ducati rider Michel Fabrizio and 20 points ahead of Aprilia man Max Biaggi in fifth.

Speaking to MCN he said: “I’ve got nothing to lose. I’m not going to win the championship now but I am still pushing for third. I’ve won two races and had podiums so all I want now is more wins.”

After a slow start, Rea has established himself the best of the rest behind Spies, Haga and Fabrizio but with his Ten Kate Honda team and bike working well he is focussed on more.

“Ben is a bit special but there have been three guys all year that have been at the sharp end (Haga and Fabrizio) and I’ve figured in there from time to time. After Brno I decided that it wasn’t enough and that I wanted to be up there and prove to people that I can mix it with them at the front every weekend. There’s still six races and 150 points up for grabs and I’m going for every single one of them.”
