Minimal track time in Valencia for WSB teams

1 of 1

Bad weather and three degree track temperatures bought a premature end to any meaningful testing at Valencia today. Having made the 500 mile trip from Portimao at the weekend, riders were faced with a damp track and freezing conditions.

Xerox Ducati men Noriyuki Haga and Michel Fabrizio completed a handful of laps this morning along with Shane Byrne and Carlos Checa riding their Althea Ducati’s. BMW’s Troy Corser managed seven laps before calling it a day with Aprilia riders Max Biaggi and Leon Camier not even leaving the pit box.

With less than four weeks to go until the opening race at Phillip Island teams are hoping for drastically improved conditions tomorrow in order to complete their winter testing schedule.
